Kinote

For care homes

Less time coordinating. More time caring.

Kinote is designed to help care homes connect residents, staff workflows and families, so carers can focus their attention where it is needed.

The challenge

Important details get lost.

A resident may not share a first language with the carer attending them. Routine requests arrive alongside urgent ones. Families are not regularly updated. Notes are written quickly, in different places, and the next shift inherits whatever made it into the handover.

Why now

More people need care. Homes can't hire their way out.

The UK's oldest population is growing fast, and care homes can no longer recruit carers from overseas. The solution is giving the carers they have more time to care.

The UK's over-85 population is projected to double, from 1.75 million in 2024 to 3.6 million by 2049.

Benefits for care homes

What changes for your home

Time back for carers

Simple questions are answered for them and notes are written for them. In our pilots we'll measure the minutes saved per carer, per shift.

The most urgent need first

Carers see what matters most at the top of their list, instead of answering requests in the order they arrive.

Support for international staff

Carers can talk and record care in their first language, with their original words kept alongside the English record.

Residents understood

Residents who are bed-bound, hard of hearing or not fluent in English can say what they need and get an answer in their own language.

Fewer anxious calls

Regular updates and visits families can book themselves mean fewer calls to the office from worried relatives. Any calls that are received can be handled by kinote.

Clear evidence of care

Every interaction is recorded and time-stamped, giving managers a complete record when inspectors or families ask.

Safety and control

People stay in charge of care.

  • Care decisions remain with appropriately qualified people.
  • The care home defines and reviews prioritisation rules.
  • Uncertain or potentially serious requests are escalated to staff.
  • Family access is permission-controlled.
  • Confidential professional records are kept distinct from family observations
